The Monte Rosa Walser Ultra Trail coming soon

It is time to start training for Monte Rosa Walser Ultra Trail. The third edition is coming on the 1^st August in Gressoney.

The Monte Rosa Walser Ultra Trail is the event for all skyrunning lovers. Organized by the Association Forte di Bard nell’ Alta Valle del Lys in 2013 it crosses the municipalities of Gressoney-Saint-Jean and Gressoney-La-Trinité.

Will we pay more for lifts?

Lifts will not be public transport in Italy.

Cable cars and chairs lifts do not count as public transport. This is what the Supreme Court in Italy has recently ruled. If it comes into effect, it will mean higher tax costs for ski resorts. And for tourists?

The decision of the Supreme Court makes lift owners pay municipal tax on real estate. It caused uproar in ski resorts as it can cause annual costs even 25 000 euros for a 5-setaer chairlift and up to 50 000 euros for a gondola. Now we are facing a discussion about the future of the ski resorts sector

Giro d'Italia in Cervinia on Friday

Giro d’Italia is coming to Cervinia on Friday. The 19^th stage of the famous cycling’s Grand Tour race will finish there.

The 98^th running of the Giro d’Italia started on the 9^th May in San Lorenzo al Mare. The 236-km-long mountain stage from Gravellona Toce to Cervinia will be one of the last and very spectacular.
