Saas-Fee

Spending ski holidays surrounded by 13 mountain summits over 4000m high and no cars? It sounds like Saas-Fee, the genuine pearl of the Alps in Switzerland. This lovely glacier village can offer you both winter and summer sport opportunities.

Saas-Fee, located in the Swiss district of Visp, has only around 2000 inhabitants, but altogether 200km ski slopes and hiking trails. It lies on a high plateau of the Saas Valley, 1800m above the sea level, close to three other villages. Saas-Fee is the most renowned of them – photogenic, with a special character and dramatic glaciers around.

Wooden houses and no car traffic (from 1950s) create pleasant atmosphere of the lively streets. Saas-Fee has managed to keep the charm of the traditional, highland village. Only small electric vehicles operate in the village. That’s why you need to park your car in special parking zones outside. And then let’s forget about the traffic and relax, taking a leisurely walk round the shops and with the view for the highest Swiss mountain!
