Many of our guests ask us how to choose the perfect pair of shoes for their trek. So we thought it would be a good idea to share some insight about shoe fitting, different types of hiking boots and when to opt for which kind. In the end you want to maximize the comfort and stability on the trail and minimize the weight.

It is all about how and where you trek. The how is about you, your feet, walk and how much you have to carry on your walk. The Where is about the trail, the ground, the gradient, distance and the climate.

Climb the highest all-Italian peak this summer

The tallest peak entirely in Italy is Gran Paradiso, at a breath-snatching 4061 m. Challenging, definitely, but reachable even for Alpinist beginners together with a certified Mountain Guide.

Waking before the sun goes up and starting the climbing at dawn is a beautiful and unforgettable experience. This summer we’re arranging a trek , along the high route Alta Via 2, through the National Park, with the possibility to reach the peak of the Gran Paradiso together with our local Mountain Guide.

The new gondola from Champoluc is up and running

After 35 years of good and loyal service the historical gondola from Champoluc has been replaced with a modern, high-capacity one. The winter season 2018/2019, takes off with the new eight-post gondola from the Valley Station in Champoluc (1587 m) to the mountain station at Crest (1980 m).
