One day trek Pinter – Perrin

One of the most beautiful hikes in Monterosa is the round tour starting in Champoluc and going to the Pinter lakes, further to the lake Perrin and back to Champoluc through the valley of Mascognaz.

I was extremely lucky meeting up with The Alps Crew in Champoluc the day after an amazing 1,5 metre of snow had fallen (that’s more than 5 feet in just one day!).

L'Aroula

Bartolomeus' thoughts and feelings from our visit at the rifugio L’Aroula in Champoluc:

We got treated with a very nice home cooked four course meal. The starter contained a “tomino caldo con cipolline” which is a slightly heated cheese, called “tomino” served with hot pickled small onions. Delicious!
