Ski touring race

Monterosa Ski Alp is an Alpine ski touring race, with start in the evening and finish late night or early morning, with competitors in teams of two, using classic Alpine techniques.

The 7th edition of the suggestive competition will be hosted by the charming Walser village Gressoney-La Trinité.

After the start in Gressoney the racers will use the footpath along the steep black slope from Staffal up to Sitten, an interesting technically very challenging passage, introduced last year. The trail will lead the athletes toward Champoluc through the Bettaforca Pass, returning to Gressoney only after dealing with the last tough climb of the Moos piste, in a crucial make or break phase, which will very likely determine the winners.

The difficulty level of the competition can be summed up to two simple numbers: 2,800 and 30: the first is the elevation gain and the second the distance in kilometers.

TheAlps will be represented by Maja Tesch at Monterosa Ski Alp 2017. Grab the chance to train with Maja this summer!
