The Monterosa has a special attraction on freeskiers. From the valleys of Alagna, Gressoney and Ayas, with their imposing glaciers, trough the valley of Valtournenche and Zermatt below the iconic, pyramid-shaped Matterhorn peak, this massive mountain massif opens a dimension that is mistakenly thought to be reserved only to Himalayan expeditions.

Follow the footstep of the Walser people, climb a 4000 meter peak or challenge yourself in a narrow couloir.

From easier runs near the lift system, to secluded places you can reach only by climbing with your skins. In the iconic guide book Polvere Rosa, Andrea Gallo climber and a mountain guide, offers us the opportunity to explore it all.

The book contains, detailed route descriptions and maps of 170 different itineraries, front-facing photos, climb times and historical details.

“Behind every line it appears another and I can not ever finish this book, but now here Polvere Rosa 3 already incomplete and full of ideas for the next one”. Andrea Gallo about the third edition of Polvere Rosa.
