Ski-safari Marmolada

Day One

Arrival to Venice airport and private transfer to San Vito di Cadore, just outside Cortina d'Ampezzo, and the family run Hotel Fiori. Upon arrival you prepare a backpack with what you need during the ski safari, while you can store your other belongings at the hotel. Your backpack will later be transported with car between the refuges. So everything you really need to carry during the days on the mountains are a bottle of water, your camera and some lunch money.

Sauna on the top

Day Two

Your mountain guide joins you for breakfast in the morning and you go together to the starting point in Cortina to rent any material, skis and safety equipment that you may need. The safari begins with skiing on- and off piste in two of Cortinas skiing areas, dramatic Faloria and Tofana. In the afternoon, you arrive to Lagazuoi (2752 m) nestled on the summit of Mount Lagazuoi half way between Cortina and Val Badia, for a high altitude sauna, dinner and a good night's sleep.

Hut to hut skiing

Day Three

After breakfast, you have a full day of skiing ahead, in Val Badia, Arabba, Pordoi and Gruppo Sell with magnificent off-piste in Sas Pordoi. At the foot of The Saslonch, Sassolungo or Langkofel the highest mountain of the Langkofel Group in the Dolomites lies the characteristic refuge Emilio Comici (2153 m) where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Dramatic Dolomites

Day Four

Today your guide takes you from Val Gardena with splendid descents all the way down to the valley, through the best runs in Val di Fassa to top it up with some great off-piste in Marmolada. Dinner and stay at the cosy mountain hut  Averau (2413 m).

Hut-to-hut

Day Five

Today you can choose between skiing the well-groomed pistes of the 5 Torri area or going with your guide for some more adventurous freeride at Lic Passo Giau. After a last lunch on the mountain, your driver picks you up and takes you back to Hotel Fiori for a shower and change of clothes. Now it’s time to catch the transfer to the airport and fly home.
