The most astonishing thing about Wengen is the fabulous view to the Jungfrau mountain range. The silent and calm atmosphere is guaranteed since the is no street leading to Wengen. The ski areas of Kleine Scheidegg and Männlichen have lots of long slopes, especially appreciated by the intermediate skier.
The charming, historic and family-run Hotel Oberland in the centre of Lauterbrunnen is only a 5-minute walk away from the train station and the Staubbach waterfall is close by. The Hotel Oberland's restaurant has been described in guidebooks as the best place to eat in town! Come and try yourself! Dip a piece of bread in a pot of cheese fondue or taste one of the famous Röstis! Most rooms have a balcony with views to the waterfall or the surrounding mountains...
