13-14.12.2003 : 24 Heures Freeride Put your legs to work to help people in need. That's the idea behind the 24-Hour Freeride, organised in conjunction with Dominique Perret. Participants will ski in teams of 4, accumulating as many kilometres as they can and converting them into francs in aid of a charity, this year the Foundation Theodora. But it's also the chance to party for 24 hours, with plenty of music, eating and fun. 06-10.03.2004 : Verbier Ride The Verbier Ride is one of Europe's leading "new school" skiing events. It attracts top athletes to compete in three disciplines : Big Mountain Freeride, a descent from the awe-inspiring Mont Gelé, Skier-X, a race where you can watch skiers compete against each other on a specially designed course, and Big Air, in Verbier's famous Snow Park at La Chaux. 19-21.03.200 : O'Neill Xtreme by Swatch 24 of the world's top freeriders have been invited to Verbier to compete in the 9th O'Neill Xtreme. Watch them savour the challenge and show off their skills on the north face of the Bec des Rosses. It's sure to be a breathtaking spectacle for the thousands of spectators gathered at the Col des Gentianes. Thanks to a wealth of entertainments and skills demonstrations, this is sure to be a truly great sporting event - and an opportunity for freeride pros to assist in the campaign to prevent off-piste skiing accidents. 27.03.2004 : Carlsberg High Five Five competitions open to downhill skiers, snowboarders and telemarkers are on the agenda: a giant slalom, a boarder cross, a mogul run, a fun "triathlon" and a parallel slalom to sort out the best of each category. Providing an opportunity to race with champions, the day will finish with a lively après-ski at the resort. 22-25.04.2004 : Ultime Session Finish the season on a high note : entertainments on the pistes (big air, waterslide contest, equipment test) and in the resort (music, themed evenings in the bars and discos, special events in the shops, etc). 22-24.04.2004 : Patrouille des Glaciers Held every two years, participants in this touring ski traverse from Zermatt to Verbier in one category and from Arolla to Verbier in the other. The length of the course, the high average altitude and the height profile have made this a classic event : a total difference in altitude of 8'000 metres and the equivalent of more than 100km on a 53km course ! No fewer than 1'000 skiers, in groups of three, take part in this gruelling event.
Verbier will enchant you with its special character and a level of refinement rarely found at this altitude. Here relaxing takes on new meaning in precious moments of enjoyment arranged by your hosts, who are anxious to do everything they can to satisfy their guests by offering top-quality service. What is more, the magical atmosphere of the resort sets the stage for the most wonderful encounters...
