A gorgeous valley with steep walls
A typical Engadine village, Pontresina is in a sunny and sheltered location in one of the Upper Engadine’s side valleys next to the exquisite village of St. Moritz. The highest peak in the Eastern Alps, the impressive glaciers of the Bernina massif, clear mountain streams and fragrant forest provide a natural setting for unlimited leisure activities in summer and winter. The congress and event center RONDO, in particular, offers spectacular views on the glacier and is considered one of the prime settings for corporate and cultural events.

The after ski in Pontresina is great. There are lots of good restaurants and bars. The mountain restaurants are all fantastic.
Large ski area with lots of options Pontresina is one of four lift systems around the bigger resort of St. Moritz. These systems cover most of the desires, variety and difficulty levels you could ask for. Expert skiers might however, have to travel around a little bit to find some great off-piste runs and other tougher slopes to get a real challenge. You will never have to drive for more than half an hour to reach a new lift system though.
Skiers will surely love this place because of the varied slopes. Those slopes also have the advantage of always having snow thanks to artificial snow cannons in the lower parts of the mountains. The upper parts are usually covered too thanks to the climate and the altitude.
30 - 50 qualified ski-instructors are available for instruction in classes and for daily private lessons. Classes for children from 3 to 12 years. Guest ski races, swiss snow league.
