The village offers a large choice of food; there exists about 14 restaurants and you can chose between cheap and simple food and more expensive dishes. The plentiful bars and the three dancing places guarantee the night action in Mürren.
Children under 6 don't need any liftpass, and there are some excellent slopes for beginners and children. One good thing is that Mürren almost don't have any traffic in the area, just taxis and buses.
This is not the place for lively nightlife, but there are 3 dancing places and a couple of bars.
The home of modern skiing It was in Mürren the modern skiing was more- or- less invented by Sir Arnold Lunn, he also organized the first-ever slalom race here in 1922.
The ski area of Mürren is located at an altitude of 945m to 2970meters and is a part of the Jungfrau-Region. The ski area has 15 lifts, a snowboard park and 50km of slopes (Jungfrau-Region has 200km slopes). The area consists of three interconnected ski areas; Allmendhubel, Schiltgrat, Maulerhubel. The nursery slope, which is located at Allmendhubel, and the other areas are all connected with an excellent lift system.
The areas are perfect for intermediates and advanced skiers, but not so good for beginners. However, there are a few good nursery slopes and some easy green and blue runs. Wengen, a nearby village and ski area has a larger ski area and offers a bigger choice of runs. You can take the bus to Wengen from Mürren and ski there for a day and then go back to Mürren.
