Children aged 4 to 6 years old can play on a very good nursery area. Even a few hotels have nurseries and the free nursery at the Nevada Palace is good. There are good nursery slopes spread out all over the whole area. The Ski School has great instructors and it's possible to attend both private and group lessons

It's easy to reach the mountain restaurants that have a superb view over the peaks and the mountain lakes. Most bars and restaurants are situated down in the village though. The local bars have excellent after-ski entertainment and the nightlife is superb.

For 50 years a bus transported the skiers between Adelboden and Lenk, a neighboring village, but these days the bus is replaced with a modern lift system. The ski area fits the intermediate skier perfectly and for advanced skiers there are some genuine black runs in Geils where there is also a great off-pist possibility. The beginner doesn't have to worry because there are good nursery slopes in the village and at Geils. And there are excellent long, easy blue runs to progress to after that.
The ski schools personnel are very caring and speak good English. The ski school gives both private and group lessons. The cross-country skier must try the on- mountain trails, which have been prepared and set aside for that purpose.
