You'll find Huså near the border to Norway, on the northeast side of Sweden's most popular ski mountain, Åreskutan. Huså is much smaller but connected to Åre with a long off-piste run. Some of Sweden's best cross-country skiing can be found here, both in marked trails and touring trails.

Huså takes great pride in their culture and eco-tourism. When you stay here you'll get to experience the life of the residents as the most common form of lodging is in small cottages on the farms.
This is a good place to bring your children to. As it is very small it's hard to loose them and if they are confident enough, this might be the place to let them go skiing on their own!
Winter fishing
Bring your self-caught fish home for dinner! There are several lakes to fish in, the closest one being Kallsjön, or you can go to Äggsjön and Kjolsjöarna by snowmobile.
Walk through the pretty village and feel the genuine mountain atmosphere. See the old school house from the 17th century or visit Huså Getgård where you can by fresh goats cheese.
Eat at Sweden's only manor house in the northern mountain regions. They have a café and some night's traditional Swedish food is served.
Just next to the lift there's a cozy restaurant called Gruvstugan. They serve lunch, have after ski and some nights live music.
Long off-piste
This is a small and friendly ski area. With its 5 slopes and one single ski lift it can offer good holiday fun, especially for families. Getting to Åre is easy and getting back could be a great experience. Between Åre and Huså goes a famous off-piste run that is 8,5 km long.

- Huså Fjällby has 14 log cabins to rent, 10 of them have 4 beds and the rest are somewhat bigger with 5 beds and kitchen. - Hyttgården is a big chalet with 14 rooms with 4 beds in each of them. There are two kitchens, 6 bathrooms and a conference room. - Huså Stugby has 30 chalets of high standard. There are 3 or 4 bedrooms in the chalets and each of them has kitchen and bathrooms. - Next to Hyttgården is the camping for caravans.
By car:
From Östersund, take the E14 to Järpen, turn off towards Kallsedet. Go for 10 km and turn off at Bonäshamn towards Huså. From Åre to Huså it's 25 km and Huså is only 2 hrs away from Trondheim, Norway.
By plane:
Closest airport in Östersund. Transfer by taxi to Huså. Rental car at the airport. New connection, breakfast in London, tea-time in Huså. Conference service.
By train:
Closest railway station in Järpen. From Järpen to Huså it's 25 km.
