Two of our best downhill runs have been improved from above, whereby we have built the best lighting for night skiing in the Swedish mountains. Even those of us who live here find it difficult to do everything in one season. Even so, it all fits on one pass that slips easily into your pocket. Your lift pass is valid for all the lifts you can find, as well as the Ski Bus that runs between all of the villages during the daytime.

Skiing for all
Green, blue and red slopes dominate our pistes. In other words, from very easy to medium-hard. We've clearly marked out our nasty black slopes, so that no-one ends up biting off more than they can chew. We see children as our most important guests. They have five skiing areas devoted exclusively to them. We also have a number of Fun Parks for snowboarders and freeriders, as well as a Snowcross track in Tegefjäll.

Åre Four downhill ski-areas linked by lift or bus are available through one lift pass with superb skiing on 89 prepared slopes, mostly uncrowded and broad, accessed through 44 ski lifts.
The Åre and Åre-Björnen ski areas are connected by lifts at the eastern end.
To the west, linked by bus included in your pass, the Åre- Duved and Åre- Tegefjäll areas have some of the best and prettiest runs through the woods. For beginners there are special lifts and cordoned areas in which to gain confidence.<br> The ski school, run by British-born Toni Koning, even offers a money-back guarantee if you haven´t learned to ski in a week.
There is almost unlimited intermediate skiing. Pistes are so well connected and lift queues are rare, you can virtually ski non-stop all day. There are also several excellent moderate off-piste runs suitable for intermediates. <br> For advanced skiers there are some really steep runs including the World Cup Run (incorporating a slalom) <br> There is plenty of good off-piste skiing while avalanche risks are normally low.

Improve your skiing , find the best slopes and have lots of fun. The ski school is for all categories of skiers from beginner to advanced, young and old, alpine, snowboard, telemark, x-country, mogul, racing and powder skiing. You can get a free skier analysis at Fjällgården in Åre and Hamrebacken in Duved. You can get to Åre practically any way you like, and no other ski resort in sweden has such direct transport links. Over half our guests come here either by train or plane. If you go by train you can go stright from your compartment into the lift queue. Fly from Stockholm Arlanda and you'll have unpacked and put on your ski pants under 3 hours later, including transfer from Östersund airport. If you drive from central Sweden at around eight in the morning you'll get here in time for a few afternoon runs the same day or go straight to the aprés ski!
