Colorful landscape
When the area is covered with snow, the landscape of the Upper Savinja valley and the Golte ski center come alive in completely different colors. The ski season on Golte lasts from 20th November to 20th April, and during "green" winters artificial snow is provided on some of the ski runs. Alpine skiers can ski on 45 ha of ski ground, and cross-country skiers can make use of 24 km of cross-country ski runs.

When the area is covered with snow, the landscape of the Upper Savinja valley and the Golte ski center come alive in completely different colors. The ski season on Golte lasts from 20th November to 20th April, and during "green" winters artificial snow is provided on some of the ski runs. Alpine skiers can ski on 45 ha of ski ground, and cross-country skiers can make use of 24 km of cross-country ski runs. Some of the ski runs are illuminated at night below the ski lifts for night skiing.
Although skiing is the main activity at Golte in winter, you may also choose from a number of other activities. Sky-diving (or take lessons in skydiving); taking a (guided) ski tour from Golte to the 2062 meter high Raduha mountain; skating on an out-door skating rink; climbing frozen waterfalls (under the guidance of an experienced alpinist); or for a complete change you can go horseback riding.
When the weather is agreeable, you can visit the alpine Logarska valley and some of the nearby cultural monuments, for example the collection of religious vestments in Radmirje -- or the men's annual European Cup Slalom Competition at Golte
A cable car brings visitors to Golte from the valley, and on the skislopes there are two ski lifts and five T-bar lifts. Golte offers 10 km of ski runs at an altitude of 1300 meters above sea level. You can also decide to ski down to the valley on a 10-km long ski piste.
For cross-country skiers there is 24 km of tracked trails.
There is a local ski-school and a nursery for children.
At an altitude of 1573 meters, a pleasant B-category hotel with annex offers a warm welcome to the ski grounds. There are approximately 700 tourist beds in hotels and tourist farms at Golte and its close vicinity.
The hotel offers a wide choice of culinary specialties, as well as a discotheque, TV and video room, sauna, gym, table tennis room, billiard room, pizzeria, restaurant, aperitif bar (there are also three attractive snow bars on the ski grounds) and an organized recreation program.
