Bohinj is situated in the Triglav National Park by Mt. Trigval which is the highest mountain in Slovenia. At Mt. Trigval is also where you find Kobla and Vogel. Kobla and Vogel are the two ski centers of Bohinj. You can reach Kobla by car or by train but you can only reach Vogel by cable car, Vogel is one of the high alpine centers of Slovenija. Kobla is a resort that fits every skier, it offers both easy and difficult slopes. Those skiers who like long and fast runs will enjoy it most though. Vogel has an absolutely stunning view and there are lots of snow falling here because of the closeness to the Adriatic sea. The slopes are easy but the good skiers enjoy Vogel a lot anyway because of the excellent offpist skiing and the breathtaking environment.
They have nursery and ski-school for the children. You can also rent ski equipment both for you and your child. In Kobla children up to 6 years gets a free lift pass. In Vogel children up to 4 years and the 4-th family member gets a free lift pass.
They have ski-school and you can also rent ski equipment at Bohinj.
There are hotels, apartments, holiday houses, private rooms and alpine cottages. The prices are varied.
