Trysifjellet offers a broad selection of pistes and cross-country tracks, all which are easily accessed by a comprehensive lift system. Trysil gets snow earlier than most Nordic resorts and it tends to stay because geographical conditions provide that crisp, fresh climate typically associated with Alpine ski resort. Trysil has long history in skiing traditions. The village at one time was rather isolated from the outside world: thick forest stretched away in every direction, there was no through traffic and roads were non- existents. For centuries, skis and snowshoes were the only way to get around during the long harsh winters. Trysil village is located 2 km from the mountain. Its busy centre offers a broad selection of shops and places to eat plus a chemist, library and cinema. It's really a small town with a charming village atmosphere.
In Trysil children can safely ski in specially allocated areas with mini ski lifts, their own ski school and own after ski! In the Troll Club they get to build ice caves, grill sausages on sticks, use sledges and pulks, play games, have fun and meet new friends. Kids ski school, The Troll school. Regardless of which group your child joins the aim is always the same: to improve their skiing ability and confidence without forgetting the most important lesson of all- to have fun in Trysilfjellet. The instructors will nor only teach your child to ski better, but will also make them respect their equipment, the snow and the mountain.
