The ski area is open from mid-June to mid-October. You'll find big open areas with beautiful bowls to explore and when the snow is missing there are plenty of snow cannons to keep the mountain fit for skiers. Twice a week you'll get the opportunity to stay in the pistes after the sun has set. Floodlit slopes will lead you down the hill.
Queenstown is the place to stay in, as Coronet Peak doesn't have any accommodation possibilities.
There's a special Childrens ski school and the Penguin Club that takes care of children in the ages of 4-6.
Heavenly heli skiing If you haven't tried it yet, do it now! Heli skiing is an experience you won't forget. Preferably you should be a strong intermediate or advanced skier but you'll ski with a professional guide that will lead the way down safely. There are a couple of different heli ski companies, ask at the guest service counter at the ski area for more information.
If you don't want to waste too much of your skiing time eating, try the self-service West End Café with tasty and nourishing food.
With the latest high speed quad chairlift Coronet Peak makes sure that you won't spend too much time not skiing! The ski area is very varied with wide pistes, long valleys and some off piste skiing that would make an impression on most skiers.
For the snowboarders there's an excellent snowboard park made by snowboarders to get it just right and the park is well maintained.
The ski and snowboard school has classes everyday. You can get personal training, join a race clinic or take a regular group class.
Closest international airport is in Queenstown. Take the Arthur's Point/Arrowtown route for about 18 km until you reach Coronet Peak. Takes about 20-30 minutes.
