The Fiemme Valley, known as the doorway to the Dolomites, is one of the most fascinating Alpine areas. It is located in the north of Italy, in the north-east territory of the Trentino Region. The Fiemme Valley is located between the Dolomite groups of the Latemar and the Pale di San Martino, the Lagorai Mountain Range and the Corno Nero peak.

Valle di Fiemme is located in the north of Italy. The population is around 17 670 inhabitants. Valle di Fiemme is divided into twelve villages, Cavalese, Predazzo, Bellamonte, Tesero, Carano, Ziano di Fiemme, Panchia', Castello Molina di Fiemme, Varena, Daiano, Capriana, Valfloriana.
Cavalese is the biggest village in the Val di Fiemme and is a center for the main public offices. In Cavalese there are numerous lifts and other facilities for skiing, various opportunities to become involved in other sports and places of cultural, historic and traditional interest.
Predazzo lies in the extreme north east of the valley. The village is labeled as the "geological garden of the Alps". There are numerous opportunities to enjoy skiing and great opportunities to see culture and traditions.
Bellamonteis part of the community of Predazzo, which is situated in the heart of Travignolo Valley. Here you will find the main ski resort with the lift facilities and ski runs and several cross-country tracks.
Tesero is placed in the central axis of the valley. Its particular position in the middle of the cross-country skiing center gives this place a valid tourist area. The village is an industry center, has beautiful handicraft and is linked to its culture and traditions.
Carano is the dominating village of Val di Fiemme and is said to be the classic alpine village and the skiing area is just a few steps away.
Ziano di Fiemme nature is mixed with tradition and modernity in a very interesting way. The lifts for downhill skiing and slopes for cross-country skiing are linked directly with the center of the village. Panchia' lies between Tesero and Ziano di Fiemme and has a population of just 635. This resort is a typical mountain village and the important alpine Nordic ski centers leis a short distance away.
Castello Molina di Fiemme is still keeping the sixteenth century alive by its building and restaurants. Castello offers a pleasant mountain nature and good opportunities for cross-country skiing nearby.
Daiano is placed close to Varena and is the sunniest village in the valley. Like other villages, the main nordic and downhill skiing areas is very close nearby.
Capriana lies at the extreme southwest and gives a marvelous view over the valley. Thanks to the tourism, the village is young with good prospects for development in the future.
Valfloriana has a unique fact that the town is made up of with ten hamlets spaced out along the extreme southwest of the valley. As Capriana, the development of the tourism is making this town to a great opportunity for skiers.
The Fiemme Valley has thought of families and of a way of making their holidays as pleasant as possible. This is the reason why four "kindergartens" have been set up in different areas of the Fiemme/Obereggen ski area. The four kindergartens offer a qualified assistance to children from the age of three; they are perfectly equipped and carry out entertainment activities of all kinds.
There are many possibilities to be active in Valle de Fiemme besides skiing, both indoor and outdoor. You can choose from Bocce to target shooting. There is also an indoor Ice Stadium where on can play ice hockey etc.. Or why not go down to the local library for a peaceful moment.

Cinema, theatres, museums, art gallery, libraries, folk music and cultural shows, discoes, pubs, traditional restaurants, pizzerias, pastries, bars and friendly meeting places to spend enjoyable evenings. Many boutiques and handicraft shops welcome all visitors. A rich calendar of musical, cultural and folkloristic events.
ALPINE SKIING. Great skiing offered by 50 modern lift facilities and more than 100 km of slopes, perfectly preparated from December to April, thanks to the advanced snow-making system. The skipass Val di Fiemme/Obereggen, associated to the Dolomiti Superski, gives access to the ski areas Ski Center Latemar, Alpe Cermis, Bellamonte/Alpe Lusia, Passo Lavazè/Oclini, Passo Rolle,. The skipass allows free entrance to the public swimming pools and to the ice-skating stadium. CROSS COUNTRY SKIING. The Val di Fiemme is the ideal resort for cross country skiing. A great selection of cross country traks, for a total of 150 km, are located at Passo Lavazè, Lago di Tesero (both provided with snow making systems) and Bellamonte. Further traks develop around the valley's hamlets, linked with the legendary Marcialonga trak. The Val di Fiemme is member of the European Cross Country Union (E.C.C.U.)
5 ski schools and 100 ski instructors are available for individual and group lessons of alpine and cross country skiing, snowboarding, carving and telemark.
The Val di Fiemme offers 110 hotels of different categories, most of them managed by families, flats and apartments in private homes and holiday houses, farms, mountain huts and camp-sites.
By car: The Brennero motorway A22 to Egna/Ora (BZ), following national road no. 48 the Dolomites State Road (Strada Statale) for about 24 km to Cavalese and 34 km to Predazzo.
By bus: Connection with all major italian cities.
By train: Nearest stations are Ora (24 km), Bolzano (42 km) and Trento (60 km). These station are linked to Valle di Fiemme by various busses with daily runs.
By air: Nearest airports are Bolzano (42 km), Verona (160 km), Venice (220 km), Milan (330 km), Innsbruck (180 km) and Munich (320 km).
