Around the Aosta Valley is a large region with lots of different ski resorts. One of these is the Central Valley. The resort contains five villages that are Challand, Col di Joux, Emarese, St. Barthelemy and St. Denis / Semon.

The ski area is rather spread out. The lifts have good standard and the slopes are always covered by good snow during the winter season. The villages mentioned above have, in average, two lifts each, so if you want much variety you should be prepared to travel a lot. In Challand there's a kindergarten where you can leave your children for a day's excitement both for the kids and yourself. The accommodation in the villages is usually friendly and charming and not too expensive. In the largest village, Saint Vincent, you will find some entertainment either in the casino or in any of the restaurants and pubs. Good restaurants can be found in the whole valley.
