1. Alpine ski Altopiano Folgaria, Lavarone, Luserna have become the favourite destination for ski lovers and winter vacationers alike. In the "winter version" the belt of Austro-Hungarian forts host one of the most interesting ski areas in Trentino, which in their memory take on the name "Skitour dei forti" Skitour of the fortresses. 60 km of connected slopes covered by 200 artificial snow machines, which cover the entire ski area and the latest chairlifts that technology offers in superb surroundings characterised by the fortresses, some of which can be reached on skis. Slopes: Folgaria, Lavarone, Luserna Altitude: 1200-1700 m 2. Cross country skiing The elevated wide plains of the highland Folgaria, Lavarone, Luserna offers Nordik Ski centres and 90 km of tracks which are considered among the most exciting in Trentino both for fun and for competition. Cross Country Centre Forte Cherle: Altitude 1440 m The Cross Country Centre of Forte Cherle is 9 km from Folgaria, near Cherle Fortress. It features three rings of 1.5.4.8 km, ideal excursions for beginners and to relax in nature in one of the most beautiful parts of the highland. Cross Country Centre Passo Coe: Altitude 1600 The Cross Country Centre of Forte Cherle is 6 km from Folgaria at an altitude of over 1600 metres. It features 35 km of well-groomed trails for experts, beginners and for anyone who wants to have fun in the beautiful alpine setting of Coe-Melegna. The Centre is well equipped for all the skiers needs: first aid, ski waking, dressing rooms, showers, a picnic room, washrooms, wide parking, equipment rentals and restaurants. It also features snow makers for programmed snow covering of 5 km of trail. Every year the Centre of passo Coe hosts national competitions like "The italian Cities Championships", "The Italian Absolute Championship", and "The final Italian Cup". The main reason why Passo Coe is world famous is the "Master World Cup" athletic competition held here between March 1-8 1997 that brought 1200 athletes from 27 countries around the world. Cross Country Centre Millegrobbe: Altitude 1424 m 10 km from Lavarone and 2 km from Luserna, the Cross Country Centre displays more than 35 km of athletic trails for beginners or fun lovers. In addition to that a 50 km connection with the Cross Country Centre of Campolongo, in the Veneto region, through the wide pastures of the Costesin. Another 2 km ring is at Passo Vezzena. The Centre also features a programmed snow making system that covers 10 km of trails. Centre Millegrobbe hosts the famous cross country ski competition Millegrobbe that takes every year place. 3. Excursions During winter, some pedestrian paths are available: Francolini-Costa, Passo Coe, Passo Coe-Baita degli Alpini, Slaghenaufi-Tana Incantata, Slaghenaufi-Chalet Cimone, Malga Millegrobbe-Malga Millegrobbe di sopra, Sports area Bertoldi. The snowshoes allow you to go anywhere. The Alpine Guides propose excursions to: Passo Coe-Pioverna, Passo Coe-Monte Maggio, Malga Millegrobbe, Monte Tablat. One can even take part in nightime excursions, dinner in a hut included! 4. Apres ski A winter holiday in Folgaria, Lavarone, Luserna is not only a paradise for ski lovers, but the area also attracts people who love other winter activities but do not necessarily ski. They come to enjoy the enchanting atmosphere of the snow capped mountains, the exciting winter events and rural Christmas holiday traditions in the area. Another thrilling and different way to explore the breathtaking beauty of the alpine landscape of Passo Coe is by taking a ride on one of the horse drawn Hermann Sledges. Whilst skiing from one place to the next you can stop off at one of the many restaurants and ars en route and enjoy a drink, a snack or a meal on the sunny terraces and enjoy the magnificent scenery that surround our resort. In the evenings one can choose from a vast assortment of entertainment, be it the disco, the wine bars, the pubs and the numerous restaurants around the vilage.

The nearest airport is Verona Villafranca, 90 km away. A shuttle bus service operates regularly between the airport and Verona railway station (10 min.) with railway connections to Rovereto.
