When you're skiing in Sauze- Super Sauze's ski area it's good to start down in Sauze. From there you can choose between several lifts with quite easy slopes. A chair lift will take you up to Super Sauze at 1700 meters above sea level. Then you can either ski down to Sauze again on a long, red slope or continue upwards for more runs. The highest location is Dôme de l'Alp at 2450 meters. It offers more challenging skiing with two black runs. Unfortunately these runs are rather short. The whole ski area is perfect for inexperienced skiers; because there are easy slopes everywhere! Even at Dôme de l'Alp there are easy alternatives to the black and red runs. There is a new generation snow park to le Grand Quartier with big air, rails, box, snow boarder.

Skischool

Three ski schools are happy to welcome your kids to the fully equipped snow garden. Children can progress at their own rate, pass ski test or learn free ride . Always close to the lifts

The hotels offer a variety of style and quality, so you can always find an accommodation of your liking. Almost all accommodations in Sauze and Super Sauze are situated very close to the lifts. If you wish to get extra close to the more difficult runs you can stay in one of the hotel in La Rente, at an altitude of 1650 meters. By road :

If you're driving from Paris and the north you should find the easiest way is by Lyon, Grenoble and the N85 to Gap. From Gap you'll drive on the D900 to Barcelonnette and continue to Le Sauze- Super Sauze.


Fom the south of France : via Aix en Provence , motorway ( A 51 ) to Tallard then Barcelonnette and le Sauze

In the valley and the village : free regular service linking Sauze and the others ski resorts ( Pra Loup and Ste anne) and across resorts in the Haute Ubaye.


By air:

Marseille is the best international airport to go to because the resort has its own bus connection from there.

By rail:

The nearest railway station is Gap (63 kms)

Go with the TGV to Grenoble or Valence then take a normal train to Gap where you can continue by bus.


There is also " snow shuttles"connected with TGV Med or by plane only on saturday
