The Mappys' area
Close to the arrival point of the Chavannes cable car, this learning area is located in a quiet and secure environment away from the «standard» ski area. It consists of two magic carpets, a snow cable and a rope tow to ski smoothly on 4 slopes. This area is entirely accessible to pedestrians; families and friends are invited to come and encourage their loved ones. Ski professional welcome this new zone, which significantly expands their teaching space. Note that a direct connection is possible with the Grand Cry Territory via the cable car with the same name.

Le Père Noël habite aux Gets VISITEZ LE CHALET DU PERE- NOEL DU 12 AU 26 DÉCEMBRE 2009 Cette semaine de Noël sera placée sous le signe de l’émerveillement pour petits et grands qui seront accueillis au domaine du Père Noël... Le Père Noël vous ouvrira ainsi les portes de sa cabane, située au coeur d’uneforêt enchantée, où de nombreux petits lutins achèveront les derniers préparatifs pour la grande tournée des cheminées du 24 décembre... Au programme de cette semaine où le rêve deviendra réalité : concours dedessins, concert de Noël, sculptures de neige, arrivée du Père Noël, spectacles et goûters gratuits pour les enfants, grande parade de Noël, feux d’artifice. Du 26 décembre au 2 janvier Les Magic-Spectacles 31 décembre 2009, Grand spectacle pyrotechnique du nouvel an. du 11 au 14 janvier 2010 La Grande Odyssée 2010 Une fabuleuse course de chiens de traîneau Pour cette cinquième édition, le domaine des Portes du Soleil accueillera un événement hors du commun qui réunira les meilleurs mushers du monde : La Grande Odyssée. Une course longue distance à l’image des légendaires Yukon Quest et Iditarod. En effet, c’est le premier rassemblement de cette envergure dans les Alpes depuis l’Alpirod : un territoire vierge pour les mushers du monde entier, jamais foulé par les pattes de leurs équipages. Plusieurs spéciales sont au programme de cette épreuve, dont le départ aura lieu au coeur du village. Mars 2010 13 mars 2010 EBOUELLE CONTEST Cet événement sportif, original et spectaculaire réunit des riders confirmés pour une compétition-Show Freestyle et snowboard. Le concept repose sur la glisse, les arts graphiques et la musique. Au programme, compétition avec matériel et Prize money à la clé avec animations grand public, expositions d’artistes dans les lieux insolites, réalisation de fresques « en live », « battle » de DJ’s, concerts, sculptures sur glace et sur bois, initiation pour le grand public… 4 avril 2010 Chasse aux Oeufs Pour fêter Pâques, les Indiens et les Trappeurs du Territoire du Grand Cry invitent les enfants à participer à skis à la chasse aux œufs. Des chasses aux trésors sont également organisées tous les vendredis sur le territoire du Grand Cry.
