Le Grand Bornand is a 3 KID resort and welcomes children very much. They can either enjoy themselves in the ski school (with instructors who can speak both French and English) or in one of the nurseries.
The cross-country ski trails are recommended Experience the silence and the beautiful scenery in one of the many cross-country ski trails; there are over 56 kilometers of them. Other activities available are, for example, skating and paragliding.
Le Grand Bornand's ski area consists of smaller areas connected with linked lifts systems. The 40 lifts and 42 slopes makes the area average-sized but the runs are varied and nice. Both expert skiers and beginners should find suitable runs.
The snow cover, which is usually very good, has been enhanced with a couple of new snow cannons. Now you are guaranteed snow both in the early and late parts of the season.
You can learn skiing, snowboarding, monoskiing and telemark in the local ski schools. If you are French speaking, there are 100 instructor who can teach you. Luckily, there are also ten international instructors who give adults and children private and group lessons.
If you're driving east from Paris on the A40 motorway you will finally reach Annemasse. From there you continue to Bonneville and then you can drive the last part to Le Grand Bornand.
