The two main skiing areas are St. Peter's and Medvedín and there you will also find a number of minor areas. There are 13 lifts that bring you to the 11 main pistes and for the cross-country lovers there are 70 km's of well-maintained trails.

Skiing with a view
The resort takes great pride in well groomed slopes and a very well organised mountain rescue service, everything it takes to make your skiing experience as safe and smooth as possible. The beautiful view of Bohemia and Poland adds a special touch to the skiing.
The ski pistes vary in length from 600m to 2500m with elevation differences up to 700m. For the passionate mountain lover the main ridge that stretches for 25 km offers excellent ski touring and cross-country runs. The cross-country skier also has access to ski lifts and bus services running up to the high situated pass and well marked tour pathways for all levels of skiing.

Close to the mountain
Choose one of the four mountain hotels in Spindleruv Ml8n and you will probably find one that suits you perfectly. With a superb outlook over the whole valley the Barbora Hotel is a charming two-storey building just above the centre of the resort. A cheaper alternative, simple but well run, is the Central Hotel in the very heart of the village. Yet another option is to stay at one of the mountain chalets on the ridges for the more genuine feeling.
By car: If you choose to go by car there are several motorway links across Europe. If you're coming from England (Dover-Calais) the Giant Mountain area can be reached in about 15-17 hrs. From Prague go towards Mladá Boleslav, Jicín, Vrchlabí and finally Spindleruv Ml8n.
Remember to get a motorway toll coupon at the Czech border or you may end up being fined by the Czech police.
By plane: Coming into Prague-Ruzyne Airport leaves you with a couple of different transfer alternatives. There's a regular bus line from the airport (3 hrs.) which is taken from the Prague Coach terminal.
