The village of Spital am Pyhrn is full of history and tradition. A stone-age excavation proves that Neanderthal men have inhabited the plateaus of the Totes Gebirge. If you're interested in culture you should visit the baroque cathedral at Pyhrn or the rock sculpture museum, that are some among several sights.
There's a ski kindergarten in the winter where children from 3 years old can learn how to ski.

The ski area is opened from December to April and a heavy mantle of snow usually covers Spindal Pyhrn during the season.

By car: Coming on the A3 go towards Nürnberg-Regensburg-Passau then take the A8, direction Wels. Leave the motorway at Wels North onto the federal highway B138 to Sattledt. Take the A1 cross the Voralpenkreus, A9 to Inzersdorf and B138 to Kirchdorf am der Krems-Spital am Pyrhn.
