It is the highest located ski resort in Austria at 2020 meters above sea level and the name Kühtai also means "the house near the sun". It is the highest located ski resort in Austria at 2020 meters above sea level and the name Kühtai also means "the house near the sun". The tiny village only has 13 (!) inhabitants so you know you are not exactly coming to a larger city. There are some 10 modern lifts, that you don't have to wait in any line to get on, and about 40 kilometers of wonderful pistes.
At the Kids Club in Kühtai, your children will learn to ski in a jiffy. The friendly instructors from the 1st Kühtai Ski School supervise your “ski offspring” with lots of love and attention – before you know it, your kids will be whizzing past you on the slopes. The practice slopes are located just a few meters from the hotels. Kindergarten: in winter daily from 10 till 12 ind the morning and / or from 2 till 4 in the afternoon. accomodations and lifts offer child reductions.
It is rare that skiing pleasures lie as nearby as in the Kühtai: when you are here, all the packing and unpacking of skis drops away, because the piste begins right at your front door. There are a total of 40 kilometers of skiing and boarding pistes in top snow-assured condition, just waiting for your arrival. Seven drag lifts, a double chairlift, three weather-protected four-seater chairlifts, e.g. the new chairlift on the Hohe Mut, and a new Magic Carpet for beginners round out the offerings. The most beautiful thing in Kühtai is that there are no waiting times at the lifts, which is no wonder with an overall capacity of 16,000 persons per hour.
Skiers are well prepared for the coming season. At long last, they get to make contact with the snow, but often after a few turns in the wonderful powder snow, they are standing crowded together at the ski hut. A swinging stopover, it’s as integral a part of the skiing experience as Obstler in Jagatee, even though no one knows where that tradition started. No one knows who gave it that name either, no one can explain the magic. But...it works. Special Events: Stopover Hut evening in the Kühtaier Dorfstadl with spare ribs and hock of pork to order. Mondays an Wednesdays with the band Tschirgant Duo, Saturdays with the band Harmonies. Wednesdays and Saturdays Night Skiing and then Party in den Dorfstadl. Here you can experience some of the most awesome skiing in the Tirol area. The snow is fantastic and the slopes are well prepared. You will find the slopes to be extremely varied and you are not going to have to wait in any lines to the lifts. All lifts can easily be reached from most of the hotels. Then you can enjoy about 40 kilometers of groomed runs in unbelievably beautiful surroundings.

By car: Via Inntal motorway, exit Kematen or Zirl-Ost to the Sellraintal. Take the Inntalautobahn and exit Ötztal, via Ötz, go to Kühtai.
By train: Train to Innsbruck, then take either a bus or a train to Ötztal/Bahnhof, then take the bus via Ötz to Kühtai.
