Kaiserwinkl, which is situated between the great peaks of the Kaiser mountain range and the Kitzbühel Alps, is a fantastic ski resort consisting of two main villages; Kössen and Walchsee. In Kössen you will find hundreds of ways of having fun and more than 2000 regular guests is a fine proof of the good quality of this little village. Walchsee is village of great activity and a place where you will find much entertainment to take part in.

Kaiserwinkl is close to some of the bigger resorts in Austria, Kitzbühel and Innsbruck, where you'll find fantastic skiing. Kaiserwinkl is just as good but not as big! The resort offers you 14 lifts and a total of 30 kilometers of nice pistes and varied skiing. You don't have to be a great skier to manage to conquer these slopes but there are also tougher runs for the more advanced skiers.
You should also enjoy the wonderful wild nature of Kaiserwinkl as well as its fine social life and the many sport facilities that you could use after a day going down the mountains.
Ski schools for the children
Both Walchsee and Kössen offer ski schools for kids over three years. The instructors are qualified and it should be a lot of fun. There are no kindergartens for guests in either of the villages.
Indoor<7b>
In Kaiserwinkl you can try to improve your tennis game on one of the many indoor courts offered. You can also develop your swing in the indoor golf facilities or just go bowling with friends and family in one of the bowling lanes. There is also a pool with a sauna if you are just looking for relaxing.
Outdoor
While staying in Kaiserwinkl you should really try the 140 kilometers of cross- country trails around the resort. The nature is just breathtaking and you will not even realise that you are exercising. If you feel like going a little bit faster you can always try one of the toboggan runs in Walchsee. There are also opportunities to go ice- skating, hiking or horse back riding.
Traditional entertainment
Kaiserwinkl and its two villages offer the tourist some traditional Austrian entertainment. There are festivals in national costumes, brass bands playing, you can eat a lot o good food and drink plenty of wine and beer and you meet many new people.
For some evening entertainment you could visit some of the beer cellars or just go to one o the restaurants offered.
Varying terrain
Kössen is the place for more challenging skiing and the majority of the pistes. In Walchsee the beginner will feel comfortable in easier slopes. Over all you will find very varying types of skiing in Kaiserwinkl and you are assured of having a lot of fun.
Your choice of living
The quality of housing is good and you will have many different categories of living to choose from. There are six four star hotels in Kaiserwinkl where you can be sure of living comfortably. Then there are about 30 hotels ranging from three stars to one star levels. You can also choose to live in an apartment or in a guesthouse of which there are plenty.
By car: If you plan on taking your car, this is the way you will go: You take the freeway Munich- Salzburg to the junction of Inntaldrei. Then you get on the freeway Niederndorf- Walchsee- Kössen, that will take you to Kaiserwinkl.
By rail: The closest railway station is Kufstein and from there you will find connecting buses.
By air: Closest airports are Munich (140 kilometers), Innsbruck (100 kilometers) and Salzburg (70 kilometers).
