A true family resort
Hittisau is one of the small Austrian villages you can find in the Bregenzerwald ski area. If you're skiing for the first time you should know that this is a good resort resort to begin in because it has a simple lift system that is not too packed with tourists. Hittisau is a great, calm option where you still can have lots of fun. This also makes Hittisau an excellent ski resort for families.

Small, convenient and nice The ski area is rather small, but fully sufficient for families or inexperienced skiers. The system consists of four T-bar lifts and one smaller lift where children can practise. From the highest location you can choose from several ways to get down, of which most are quite easy. There are no black runs around Hittisau, but it can be found however in other parts of the Bregenzerwald region.
The closest international airport can be found in Zurich (130 kilometers), but other options are Milano (280 km), Innsbruck (220 km) and München (190 km).
