The skiing in Finkenberg is superb and made to suit all kinds of skiers with its wide range of ski lifts and runs. There are 225 pists of which 59 are for advanced skiers, 129 for intermediate and 60 are for beginners. 169 hectares of the 225 pists are provided with artificial snow and the slopes are never lacking snow. The area has 62 lifts, which are open daily from 08:00 to 17:00. (including HINTERTUX GLACIER)

If you get the Super-Ski pass you can ski in the whole Zillertaler valley, that means from the powder-snow in north of the valley to the firn pists in the south.

Skischool

Finkenberg also has two ski kindergartens and two skischools. The ski schools have both private and group lessons taught by some of the best instructors there is.

LEARN FROM THE BEST The Finkenberg ski and snowboard schools teach according to the well-known Austrian ski instruction system. Private lessons and group instruction for all levels of difficulty, carving courses, snowboard courses, children´s courses, backcountry skiing, ... Small children from the age of 4 years are especially important to us. They´ll be trained by especially certified ski instructors. Ski instruction courses for children last from 9:00am - 4:00pm and can be booked with or without lunch and with or without lunchtime supervision.

Finkenberg has a quite good choice of accommodation and offers about 2500 beds every category. Via Inntalautobahn highway (A12), exit Zillertal valley, through the Zillertal valley to Mayrhofen (approx. 30 km), then towards the Tuxertal valley to Finkenberg (approx. 3 km from Mayrhofen).

By Train and Bus

Express trains stop in Jenbach, then continue with the historic Zillertalbahn railway or per bus or dieseltrain to Mayrhofen!
