A good kindergarten for your children Leave your children for a few hours or a whole day at Brixen's "Winterkindergarten". Educated and friendly personnel will entertain and keep your children happy. Your children will be served meals and they can sleep in the sleeping quarters of the garden if they wish.
Brixen is a good place to stay in when you want to change to other activities than skiing. Skating, sleigh rides, swimming, hang gliding, paragliding and excursions are some suggestions.
Lots of options The after ski entertainment in the Skiworld ski area is great. There are over 70 mountain restaurants and ski huts. They vary from the cozy and charming to the modern and convenient. Down in the villages you can find restaurants, pubs and dancing clubs for your night entertainment.
Varied and convenient Brixen im Thale is a part of the Skiworld ski area. This is the largest ski area in Austria and can offer many days of skiing. In total there are about 91 lifts and 260 kilometers of slopes of varied difficulty. From Brixen im Thale you can both ski the Kandleralm area and from there reach Westerndorf (14 lifts), or you can ski up to Hochbrixen and reach the other 75 lifts.
The villages connected with the lift system are Hopfgarten, Westendorf, Itter, Söll, Scheffau, Ellmau, Going and, of course, Brixen im Thale. Kelchsau is also a part of the ski world but you have to go by bus to kelchsau.
The snow cover is almost always perfect. 1.000 snow cannons will cover the largest slopes when weather gets bad.
In Brixen im Thale there are two different ski schools with qualified instructors. Other schools can be found in the local resorts in the Skiworld.
