Two villages one extreme ski resort
Au and Schoppernau are two nice and small Austrian villages in the Bregenzerwald region that has grown into a convenient ski resort. Shoppernau has got about 1000 inhabitants, and its close neighbor Au, another famous ski resort, has got another 1500. The two towns are just a few kilometers apart and together make one superb ski resort. The resort has multiple sports facilities and the ski area has seven modern lifts.

The two towns are just a few kilometers apart and together make one superb ski resort. The resort has multiple sports facilities and the ski area has seven modern lifts. But that's not all! The region includes three different valleys, all accessible through a free ski bus.
Au & Schoppernau is more than just skiing

The villages' restaurants can give you a great and cultural local meal. In the mountains there's also an atmospheric ski pub where you can drink, eat and talk about your day's adventures.
One of three astonishing valleys
The Au and Schoppernau ski area is big enough to keep most skiers busy during a whole vacation. Two carriers will take you up to the top of the mountain and from there you can ski down on black, red or blue runs to other parts of the area. Good skiers can enjoy a really long black slope and other a few shorter ones. Intermediate and novice skiers will have even more to choose from and there are even two red off-piste runs that will take you down to Schoppernau again.
If you think the Au and Schoppernau ski area is too small you should consider that the lift pass would give you access to over ninety lifts throughout three different valleys in the Bregenzerwald region. Travel with the ski bus for free and reach all fantastic slopes!
The Au and Schoppernau ski school can teach your children how to ski as well as help older skiers how to enhance their skills.
