My name is Marta Capetillo, I am Italian and my family has had a place in the Alps for the last 40 years. We spend all of our free time skiing and hiking in the mountains. For me the Alps are home, and if I could be so lucky and choose my last refuge, it would be a little village up there.
During the past 10 years I have been engaged in different Internet projects to enhance international tourism and spread quality information about the Alps (which means to me an even better chance to spend more time in the mountains!).
I have worked at www.thealps.com from the start, 1998. Since winter season 2001-2002, I lead the development of www.thealps.com, and my goal is to make it the natural source of information about the Alps on the Internet. To my help I have a small team of collaborators and friends at our office in Stockholm, Sweden, and all the kind people at the official tourist offices in the resorts!
