The 2016 edition of World Press Photo has come to Fort Bard in the Aosta Valley.

The Marché au Fort, in the charming medieval Village of Bard, is the most important and largest food- and wine event in the Aosta Valley.

All the flavours of the region are on display, and for sale, here, presented by not less than 96 local producers.

Some time ago Eric Asimov, a well-known wine and food critic for „The New York Times”, discovered wines of the Aosta Valley. He prepared a tasting report. Would it be different this year?

Even though the Aosta Valley is a small region, comparing for example to neighbouring Piedmont, it is impressive how wide a selection of white and red wines is.

Until June, the 2nd you can visit a fantastic photography exhibition in Fort Bard – Wildlife Photographer of the Year, the most prestigious event within wildlife photography.

It is the first Italian stage of the world tour of the exhibition.
